Science Club

We are a group of young scientists who want to learn all we can.  We are open to 5th and 6th grade students. The 5th graders learn about marine life and take a 3-day trip to Catalina Island to experience the Catalina Island Marine Institute curriculum. We snorkel and swim with sharks and observe fresh caught plankton under a microscope. We also dissect squid to learn about their anatomy and behavior.  The 6th graders work hard all year to prepare and bring a science fair project to the L.A. county science fair in Pasadena.  If you win you can go to the state fair and maybe even make to the National Fair in D.C.. We meet twice a month. Sign-up at Back to School Night.
