Niemes Elementary is a Magnet School of Environmental Science & Technology.

We accept permits for our English Only and Spanish Immersion Programs.

Enrollment Procedures are different depending on the program you choose for your child.

ENGLISH PROGRAM:

SPANISH IMMERSION PROGRAM:

An online Interest Form is available @ https://www.niemeses.us/apps/pages/ImmersionProgram

A pre-assessment will be administered in January & February to help determine the best placement for your child.

Parents will be notified of student’s program placement by Mid-March.

If interested please submit an Interest Form for the Immersion Program by January 26th to schedule the Pre-Assessment Appointment.

Two enrollment lists will be created, as we try to create a balance of English Dominant speakers and Native Spanish Dominant speakers.

GENERAL INFORMATION FOR REGISTRATION

Pre-Registration: ABCUSD has online registration to begin the enrollment process. Proper documentation must be brought to the school for verification before enrollment is finalized. New Student registration may begin here: CLICK HERE: NEW STUDENT REGISTRATION WEBSITE

KINDERGARTEN THROUGH SIXTH GRADE
If your child will be 5 years old by November 2, 2012 he/she may be enrolled in Kindergarten for the new school year. To properly register new students, we ask that you please bring the items listed below for verification:

PROOF OF BIRTH DATE: Birth Certificate, Hospital Certificate
IMMUNIZATION RECORDS: Must be current and up-to-date.
- DtaP or DPT: (Diphtheria/Pertussis/Tetanus) 5 doses or 4 doses after 4th B-day, 6 mos. apart between last 2 doses
- POLIO: 4 doses, or 3 doses after 4th B-day
- MMR: (Measles/Mumps/Rubella) 2 doses after 1st B-day
- TB: (PPD Mantoux) All TB Test must have date given, reading date, results documented by doctor or nurse. Must be given by September 1st of the previous school year beginning with 1st grade.
- HEPATITIS B: (HVB) 3 doses. A series of 3 doses
- VARICELLA: (Chicken Pox) 1 dose after age 1 or history of disease documented by doctor or nurse
  (children will not be enrolled, unless all immunization records are presented and up to date)
PROOF OF RESIDENCE:
Requires 2 proofs: Electric bill, Gas bill & CDL or California ID card showing your name & current address. If you cannot provide this information you must fill out a Statement of Residence notarized & return it with 2 utility bills, a copy of CDL or California ID from homeowner will be accepted. (please see attached for alternate forms of verification)

PLEASE HAVE ALL FORMS COMPLETED AND BRING DOCUMENTS REQUIRED WHEN RETURNING ENROLLMENT PACKET TO THE OFFICE, PACKETS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED IF ANYTHING IS MISSING.

NOTE: DUE TO STATE REGULATIONS, ALL IMMUNIZATIONS MUST BE UP TO DATE BEFORE STUDENTS ARE ADMITTED TO SCHOOL

INSCRIPCIONES PARA KINDER A SEXTO GRADO
Si su hijo(a) cumple cinco años de edad en o antes del 2 de noviembre del 2012 el(ella) puede ser inscrito en Kindergarten para el nuevo año escolar.
Para registrar correctamente los nuevos estudiantes, les pedimos que por favor traiga los documento enumerados a continuación para verificación:

Requisitos:

Comprobante de fecha de nacimiento: Acta de Nacimiento, Certificado del Hospital.
Cartilla de Vacunación: Necesitan tener las siguientes vacunas:
- DTP: (Difteria/Tos Ferina/Tetano) 5 o 4 Dosis. La última dosis debe de haber sido después de los 4 años y más de 6 meses entre las dos últimas dosis.
- POLIO: 4 o 3 Dosis. La última dosis debe de haber sido después de los 4 años y más de 6 meses después de la dosis anterior.
- MMR: (Sarampión/Paperas/Rubeola) 2 Dosis. Dadas individualmente o en combinación. Debe de ser dada después del 1er año.
- TB (PPB Mantoux): Comprobante de la prueba de tuberculosis Mantoux la fecha del examen, fecha en que fue leída y el resultado. Debe ser administrado después del primero de septiembre del año escolar anterior.
- HEPATITIS B: 3 Dosis. Para incrego al kinder solamente.
- VARICELA: 1 Dosis. Después del Primer año of fecha documentada del virus.
  (Los niños/as no serán matriculados, a menos que todos los registros de las vacunas se allan presente y esten al día)

Comprobante de Domicilio: Se requieren 2 comprobantes de domicilio.
Recibos de servicios públicos: Electricidad, Gas, Licencia de Manejar o Tarjeta de Identificación, con su nombre y dirección. Si no tiene recibos a su nombre o un comprobante del contrato de renta; una Declaración de Domicilio notarizada será necesaria como comprobante (la forma se le proporciona en la escuela) y copia de 2 Recibos de Servicios Públicos y Licencia de Manejar del propietario. (adjunta encontrara formas alternativas de verificación)

POR FAVOR REGRESAR LAS FORMAS COMPLETAS Y LOS DOCUMENTOS REQUERIDOS CUANDO REGRESE A ENTREGAR EL PAQUETE DE REGISTRO, NO SE ACEPTARAN PAQUETES DE REGISTRO SI FALTA INFORMACION

NOTA: DE ACUERDO CON LOS REGLAMENTOS DEL ESTADO, TODAS LAS VACUNAS NECESITAN ESTAR AL CORRIENTE, ANTES DE QUE LOS ESTUDIANTES PUEDAN SER ADMITIDOS EN LA ESCUELA.
